Hot afternoon of goals in Alcalá. Marbella brought the warm southern weather, and also a match in which they took the lead with a goal from Adrián Ruiz in the 37th minute. Llorente equalised before halftime, but added time saw another goal from Escassi. After the break, Jorge Álvarez added another goal to the visitors' tally (48'). The 1-3 scoreline unleashed a local storm, with four more goals from Javi Serrano (50'), Corral and Cubo on set-piece (71'-77'), and Bellotti (80'). The home side's onslaught was only interrupted by Gonçalves' 5-4 goal in stoppage time.

Once the match was over, it was time for Fernando Torres to give his analysis: “None of the fans who came to Alcalá were bored. I think we had a game with many ups and downs, where we conceded too much, but where we were also very clinical. Especially in the second half. It was a very end-to-end game, which we usually like, but we're happy with the result. Obviously, that's what we were aiming for today. It was a match with many new elements, many new situations, and a great response from the team once again.”

Jorge Domínguez -aged 16- played his first minutes with the reserve team against Marbella: “The work they do at the Academy is always excellent. We see the results every year in the youth categories and how the youngsters who dream of debuting for our first team are progressing. This is another step for him, a big step because he is very young. We have to be patient; we know what lies ahead, and we will take the best possible care of him. Congratulations to him; debuting at that age with the reserve team is very difficult.”

The League next round sees a trip to Teruel, scheduled for Sunday the 19th at 12:00: “It’s a ground where we know it’s very difficult to get points, so we’ll go there with a clear plan. At home, it was very difficult for us to open the scoring because it’s a tight game. They are very dangerous at home, and we have many things to adjust. But as we always say, now it’s time to enjoy it, celebrate, and starting Monday, when we all get back together, we’ll analyze the opponent and prepare for the week to get another victory.”
