Last-gasp win in Alcalá against Cartagena. Atlético Madrileño secured their second consecutive win, clinching a 2-0 victory that was hard-fought until stoppage time. After a hard-fought 90 minutes, Miguel Cubo broke the deadlock in the 90th minute, and shortly after, Llorente converted a penalty to seal the 2-0 win, earning three valuable points for the Red-and-whites reserve team.

Coach Fernando Torres expressed his satisfaction at returning to winning ways at home: “We are very happy with the result and to give our fans, who always support us, a victory after a long time. I think we have collected the rewards of the work we have been doing for many weeks. We have played very well at home in recent games, suffering many situations where frustration grows because we don't get the points, and today we were rewarded. In the end, we suffered, but with the feeling that the team challenged all the time for the win, once again, and today we got that reward of three points.”

“We always try not to assess matches based on the final result. When we were 0-0, almost at the end of the game, I was satisfied with the lads' performance. The players gave their all; we haven't been finding the net yet, but I'm convinced this is the right path. In the end, the result doesn't change my opinion of the match and what we've been doing without getting the three points. They believed in the path we were on when the results weren't positive, and I'm sure we're going to improve,” added the coach of the Red-and-white reserve team.

The next Primera RFEF fixture for Madrileño is another home game, this time against Antequera: “A great opponent that plays great. They're a brave, attacking team, and it's going to be an end-to-end match, a kind of match we feel very comfortable with. We're really looking forward to that game, playing again in front of our fans, so we can give them another victory.”
