Afternoon Matchday at the Wanda Alcalá de Henares Sports City resulted in a point for Atlético Madrileño, following a goalless draw against Hércules from Alicante. The final score feels like a missed opportunity given the dominance and chances created by the Red-and-white side, who will visit Tarazona next week.

In his analysis, coach Fernando Torres praised the team's performance despite the lack of goals: “We are very disappointed with the result. I think the team played a very good match, creating a lot of chances. But in football, when you waste chances, you pay the price. And that's what happened today. A point that feels like very little. We dominated the match from start to finish, both in possession and on the counter-attack, even when we were defending. We felt the goal was coming, because the team kept pressing and pressing and pressing… We were brave, we tried until the very end.”

“It wasn’t to be, and we’re left with that feeling, once again, that the team deserves much more than it gets in terms of points, but that it continues to grow in terms of its play,” Torres added.

Finally, the coach turned his attention to the upcoming match away in Tarazona: “We know we’re going to a very difficult ground, where they’re a team that’s very strong at home and concedes very few scoring opportunities. Now, we need to carefully analyse what happened today, take everything that can help us for the next match, and work on it with our usual mentality: next weekend we’re going out to win,” he concluded.
