Atlético Madrileño drew at La Bóbila, the vintage stadium in Gava where CE Europa will now play their home matches. There, under heavy rain, the home side took the lead with a screamer from Caravaca (19'), which was equalized by Arnau Ortiz just before halftime. The Atlético striker doubled his lead at the start of the second half (49') with a superb long-range shot that found the back of the net, putting Fernando Torres's squad ahead. However, another strike from outside the box from Jordi Cano equalized the score up to the final whistle.

Fernando Torres coach highlighted the toughness of grabbing points away against the Catalonian side: “A very tough game against a great rival. We know they are a very strong side at home, despite it being a ground where they hadn't played until now. They are a very competitive team, and they were going to make things very difficult. It was a very exciting game for the spectators, and for us as well, where we had to adapt to many different game scenarios”.

“We are happy with the players' performance and we are taking this point, which we know is not easy to get here, to make it count next week,” Torres added.

Now, after two away games, it's time to return home to host Villarreal B in the next round: “After consecutive away games, we return to Alcalá, where we feel strong and very confident. We hope to have the support of our fans and continue adding points,” the coach concluded.
