The two-week rest from competition because of the postponed match did not slow the momentum of Fernando Torres' Atlético Madrileño, who convincingly claimed their fourth consecutive victory against Juventud de Torremolinos. Goals from Omar Janneh (34'), a penalty from Boñar (36'), and Castillo (67') cancelled the goal of Fran Gallego's 2-1 early after the restart. After this win, Atlético Madrileño maintains the pressure at the top of the table, just one point behind the leader and with one matchday remaining scheduled for Wednesday the 22nd at the Rico Pérez stadium in Alicante (7:00 PM CET).

After the game, in his analysis for the club media, Torres didn't hide his satisfaction with the team's remarkable performance: "We're thrilled to win again, to compete again, especially after a week off. It was a game where the lads showed the willingness they have. We were rushed at times, but we keep on going with that energy that allows us to manage those situations, especially up in front of the goal, so we can play the game we want. I’m very satisfied with the match."

The postponed match in Alicante awaits midweek, a difficult away test that awaits Wednesday: “Two days to rest, prepare for the match, and get back to competing, which is what we like. It's an unusual week for us, with a midweek match, so we're really looking forward to it. We're looking forward to getting to training tomorrow and talking with the guys about what this match will bring, which will be very different from the one we played today, and that's also a motivation for us,” Torres concludes.
