The Red-and-white reserve team added their first point of the season through an extra-time goal converted after a penalty committed on Niño. Keeper Samu Casado stopped the shot but Iker Luque managed to get the ball and score the equaliser. Ñito got the lead for the home side early in the first half (13’).

Fernando Torres coach talked to the media after the game in Alicante: “It was a very tough pitch. The game became very difficult with their goal at the beginning, but I have a positive reading of it because of the player's attitude, proposing and believing until the end.”

“We have proposed and showed the intention of winning the game, so anything but winning is not enough for us. But I am very happy with the reaction of the players and the work they have done” said Torres.

“The players' work will be seen over time and we will allow them to get closer to their dream, reaching the first team, which is our objective. We are aware of this, so we are calm that we are on the right path”, the coach concluded.
