Fernando Torres returns to action with the Spanish team as the European Champions face two tricky away ties in the space of four days. The striker was forced to withdraw from the previous Spanish squad for their two World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia and Armenia. Torres suffered a hamstring tear in the Premier league meeting with Aston Villa.

Spain first take on Estonia on 11 October. The game will kick-off at 21.45 hours (local time) at the Le Coq Arena in the country’s capital, Tallin. Following the weekend clash away to Estonia, the Spanish national team then face Belgium on October 15 in Brussels.

The King Baudouin Stadium brings back fond memories for the Liverpool forward who scored two important goals as Spain defeated Belgium back in November 2005 on their way to the 2006 World Cup in Germany. The qualifier versus the Belgians will kick-off at 20:45 hours (local time).

The Spaniards are placed in Group 5, alongside Bosnia, Armenia, Belgium, Turkey and Estonia for a place at the 2010 South Africa World Cup. Spain picked-up maximum points with wins against Bosnia and Armenia in their opening two World Cup qualifiers.

The Liverpool number ‘9’ will join the rest of Spain’s squad at the Las Rozas football complex on Tuesday 7 October at 10:00 hours (CET) as the national team prepares for the two qualifiers.

Fernando Torres will meet up with his team-mates following Liverpool’s Premier League game versus Manchester City on Sunday.
