Fernando Torres replied to questions from fans in F9T Talkback. The striker analysed this year’s race for the Premier League title, gave his thoughts on Aquilani, and looked ahead to this weekend’s mouth-watering encounter between Liverpool and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The striker is looking forward to seeing Liverpool’s Italian midfielder in action for the Reds. “Aquilani has to first get back to full fitness. He’s also going to need time to settle in and we shouldn’t be drawn into making comparisons between the two of them. Aquilani is more than capable of achieving success at Liverpool.”

Although Manchester United lost two important players during the summer, Torres still believes that they are a force to be reckoned with. “Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from Manchester United will affect the side. We are talking about one of the best players and top scorers in Europe, and he’s also the current holder of the Golden Ball. Tevez leaving is another blow, but they have already shown that they will be in the hunt for all the titles up for grabs.”

This Sunday sees Liverpool face second-placed Chelsea in this weekend’s most attractive game. “Every game is special, though matches against Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal or Everton have that little bit extra because of who they are, and what it means for Liverpool to play against them. You always need to be on the top of your game. They are a tough team to beat. Last season we beat them at Stamford Bridge and at Anfield, but no two seasons are the same. If we can play to our strengths, I’m sure that we will come away with a good result on Sunday.”
