What’s the best or the most memorable thing made by a mate? One simple question to which Torres answers remembering the most emotional moment of the World Cup: Iniesta’s tribute to Jarque after the final’s goal, the crossed right shot that was worthy a World Champions title. Just one year after the great achievement of the Red Fury at the Soccer Stadium in Johannesburg, the Chelsea and Spanish National Team’s ‘9’ remembers Andrés’ gesture in memory of who they shared a lot with at the youth categories of the Spanish National Team: The deceased Dani Jarque.

“When Iniesta scored in the South Africa’s World Cup final, he took off his shirt and under it there was a dedication to Dani Jarque, one of the players who passed away because of a heart attack. When you play a match like this, so important, if you have time to think “if I score I will show this shirt”, that is a great moment”, states Fernando when stressing the most memorable moment of a mate on the pitch.

Fernando Torres states that, match by match, there are a lot of details between mates that seem invisible for the public: “In every match there are beautiful details of players who help others. Usually they are details that nobody else can see. But in Spain there were two young players who died because of a heart attack in the last years and who other players have dedicate their goals to”, clarifies Torres.
