For a fifth year, Fernando Torres will collaborate with ‘Un juguete, una ilusión’ (One toy, one joy), a campaign organised by the Spanish State television and radio together with the ‘Crecer Jugando’ (Grow through Play) Foundation. The striker appears in one of the adverts that will be broadcast on ‘TVE’- in what will be the campaign’s tenth anniversary. ‘One toy, one joy’ has its main objective in improving the well-being of the children that it promotes. Since the campaign was launched ten years ago, over 3 million toys have been sent to over 1,400 toy libraries located in 39 different countries.

The advert contains a selection of children whose difficult lives have been enlightened by the possibility of being able to play with their first toy. The children share their experience and joy with the audience through a series of stories told by the children themselves. The viewers are then invited to take an active part in the campaign by Fernando Torres. The Spaniard reminds us all that, although 3 million toys have been made available to children across the world, there is still plenty of work still left to do. The campaign also highlights the important role played by toys in a child’s early life. The toys are presented as socializing catalysts, as well as vehicles of happiness, education and development for children who have never had a toy before.

Fernando Torres can also be seen holding one of the ‘Solidarity pens’ which will go on sale from November 16 until January 10. The money raised from the sale of the special pens will go directly towards the purchase of new toys which will be sent mainly to Africa and Latin America.
