Fernando Torres has been listed among the nominees for this year’s Ballon d'Or. France Football Magazine named the Liverpool striker among the 30 candidates for the coveted yearly award. The Spaniard was nominated for Ballon d'Or for the first time in 2006. Last season Fernando went one step further, finishing third in the voting carried out by journalists.

Torres collected his prize alongside Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo; three footballers, who according to journalists worldwide, were the World’s top three players for 2008. The winner of the 2009 Ballon d'Or will be announced on December 1.
