Mid-week fixture sees AC Milan travelling to Carlo Castellani Stadium where the ‘rossoneri’ will fight for all three points to close gap at the top after last Saturday defeat in ‘clasico’ versus Juventus (0-1). A single goal defeat at San Siro moved Fernando Torres’ side from top to fourth in the Serie A table and a win over the newly promoted Empoli -second to last- will be great news for Inzaghi’s men in order to maintain high pressure in top of the table. After two defeats and a draw Empoli will try to get first victory taste at home after a disappointing start of the season at their Serie A return. The game will kick-off at 19:45 hours (GMT).

Fernando Torres faces his second game as AC Milan player after a warm welcome received from San Siro faithfull in Saturday’s debut against Juventus. The Spaniard came onto the match on 76’ replacing Poli, some minutes after Tevez’s goal for the ‘vecchia signora’. Against Empoli the ‘rossoneri’ number nine could have a new chance to fight for his first win and three points with AC Milan.
