Fernando Torres watched from San Siro stands the Rossoneri’s winning debut in Serie A -2014/15 season- while AC Milan and Chelsea FC completed a two-year deal for the player to the Italian club. The Spanish striker enjoyed the first home victory of the red-and-black side against Lazio at the well known stadium as ‘La Scala del Futbol’, an easy three-goal win for the Inzaghi managed side.

Strikes from Honda (07’), Muntari (56’) and Menez (64’) put Milan on the driving seat. Milan took the lead when Stephan El Shaarawy burst forward and found Honda who scored unmarked at the far post in the seventh minute. The Ghana midfielder Muntari was left completely unmarked as he turned in Ignazio Abate’s cross from close range in the 56th minute and eight minutes later Ménez converted a penalty after he had been fouled. Lazio tried to came back into the game when Alex turned Candreva’s cross beyond López three minutes later. Stefano Mauri then clipped the crossbar as Lazio continued to press and López had to make a superb close-range save to deny Candreva before saving the same player’s penalty on the extra time.
