Atlético de Madrid was beat in its commitment against FC Barcelona in the Vicente Calderón. Messi’s goal almost at the midway of the second half gave the three points to a Barcelona that becomes League champion. The red and whites will play for the third position in the visit to Granada. -Liga BBVA Table-

The match began with a dominating Barcelona wanting to control the possession, true to its usual style. However, our team did not give up the attack and they had the first chance. A header from the Uruguayan Giménez met an impeccable response from Bravo under the poles, who flew backwards to stop the first goal of the fixture. Barcelona answered through Messi on two occasions, but the Argentinian’s tries ended up in the hands of a reliable Oblak. The Slovenian goalkeeper would be the one who, after a free-kick from Messi to the crossbar minutes earlier, stretched to stop long-range shot from Alves and keep the parity with which they reached half-time.

After the resumption it was Simeone's team which sought the goal harder from the first minute. Griezmann and Godín enjoyed two separate occasions as well as Fernando Torres. However, Messi would punish the lack of aim of our team with a great goal. Following the Argentinian’s goal, Neymar missed two clear chances to sentence the scoreboard. In the last few minutes, the red and white team pressured, and enjoyed a great shot of Siqueira which went wide by centimetres.
