Well deserved draw for Atlético against Real Madrid in city Derby. The LaLiga contest in Santiago Bernabéu had an outstanding leader as Red-and-whites got the control and possesion trough wide phases of the game. Also the visitors showed a high-powered attacking line with a lot of good chances saved by Keylor Navas and the woodwork. Fernando Torres was on the starting eleven and played an important role up front, creating chances and almost scoring the equalizer in a one-to-one action with the Costa Rica born goalkeeper. -LaLiga Santader Table-

Atlético de Madrid walked out onto the pitch of the Santiago Bernabéu with high confidence in their possibilities and with a collaborative and organized work from the whole team. Based on a solid back line, Real Madrid had three chances to score in the first half and in almost all of them found a brilliant Oblak. First, it was Ronaldo fifteen minutes in, then it was Benzema who tried his luck and met a prodigious hand of the red and white keeper. And when he could not make it, as in Ronaldo's shot, Savic was between the sticks to avoid the goal. It woke up our players, who had two consecutive chances. First, Griezmann's shot that Navas sent to the corner and then, Godín's header to Gabi's cross that went just wide of the post.

In the second half, more of the same until Pepe scored in 52’, in a free-kick, just before he left injured. It did not affect our players, who little by little, creating danger for the rival. First it was Torres who forced Navas to work and then Griezmann warned with a spectacular bicycle kick cleared by the keeper from Costa Rica. What he could not save was Griezmann's finish after a great collective play and Correa’s excellent pass. A tie that left a good impression for the red and white fans who went to the Bernabéu and that allows Atleico to add another point this week.
