In the first half, our side dominated possession and the goal came in the 34th minute. Saúl was fouled in the penalty box and the referee blew his whistle. Gameiro converted the penalty with ease and the crowd in the Wanda Metropolitano went wild.

Diego Costa, Fernando Torres and Toni Moya came on in the second half. Both Torres and Costa added a spark to Red-and-white offense and created chances for Atletico.

The next match for atletico will be Thursday at 9:05 p.m. CET against Sporting CP at home.
