Atletico call on a second leg comeback at Sevilla with a place in last four at stake (1-2)

17-01-2018

Atlético suffered a defeat in the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals. Red-and-whites broke the deadlock late on the minute 73 with a Diego Costa Opener, but with two goals on 10 minutes Sevilla turned around the contest getting a nice advantage for the away second leg. So there is a chance next Tuesday to turn the contest around and qualify for the semifinals of the Kings Cup in the Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.

The home side started off strongly and created chances in the first half, but Sevilla defended well. The Andalusian side had two chances as well, but Miguel Ángel Moyá made tremendous saves.

In the second half, we started off strongly and Diego Costa scored in the 73rd minute. However Sevilla turned the match around with Jesús Navas and Joaquin Correa’s goals.
