Atletico Madrid made an important triumph against Deportivo of La Coruña (2-0), coming back to the victory after a three matches without winning. The red and white team added three importants points to continue in the fight for the European classification, though one more time they had to suffer to achieve a positive end with a goal from Galletti at the first minute.

The begining of the match couldn’t be better to Atletico. It hasn’t pass 60 seconds of the game when Antonio Lopez sent a long ball to Galletti from the right wing and the Argentinian player opened the scoreboard with a flat left-fooded. The good vibrations of the begin of the locals started hardly two minutes after when Valera had to leave the pitch injuried, occupying his place Seitaridis.

The complicated pace of the first minutes took place to a calmer match inmersed in a tactical duel. Javier Aguirre’s man, very secure at the pitch, became stronger at the back and trusted the attack options and the speed of their forwards, Fernando Torres and Agüero. Even though Deportivo showed its force with two actions of Estoyanoff and Juan Rodríguez. Afterwards Aguirre replaced Agüero instead Mista, a change that would had a positive result.

Minutes were passing by and Deportivo team was reaching to the rival area with clearness and had more and better occasions, like a shot of Estoyanoff that Leo Franco could blocked. It was the best minutes of the Galician team, but Atletico wasn’t ready to suffer when Mista scored a performance that was a perfect finale with a braiding play between Gabi and Galletti. At the last minutes of the match Fernando Torres tried to close the night with a third goal with a shot which left above of the Aouate’s goal.
