Red-and-whites already now know our rivals for the group stage of the 2016-17UEFA Champions League. In the first round of the competition, we will play Bayern Munich, the current champion of the Bundesliga which came from pot 1; PSV, from pot 3; and finally, the Russian Rostov from pot 4.

Fernando Torres has won two of this CL rivals with Atlético past season, as he did also before with Liverpool F.C. (PSV Eindhoven) and Chelsea (FC Bayern).

The first round of the tournament will be played on 13-14th September and the group stage will end on 6-7th December. Afterward, the last sixteen, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the grand final will be played, the latter on 3rd June at Cardiff’s National Stadium.

Group A | PSG, Arsenal, Basel and Ludogorets.
Group B | Benfica, Naples, Dinamo Kiev and Besiktas.
Group C | Barcelona, Manchester City, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Celtic Glasgow.
Group D | Bayern, Atlético de Madrid, PSV Eindhoven and Rostov
Group E | CSKA, Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham Hotspur and Monaco.
Group F | Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Sporting and Legia.
Group G | Leicester, Porto, Bruges and Copenhagen.
Group H | Juventus, Sevilla, Olympique Lyon and Dinamo Zagreb.
