There have been several times when Fernando Torres has co-operated with his image to publicity campaigns, charity projects and even in a videoclip of the famous group ‘El Canto del Loco’. All those are just secondary activities to the main one, football. But the seventh art has set its eyes on making a film with Torres.
‘Héroes de Barrio’ (“Neighbourhood heroes”) is a comedy in which the Atlético striker has a key presence. In this film no ingredient is missing that is of the essence of the supporters: a working class neighbourhood, a Tapas bar, a father keen to make his son happy, and, of course, football as the gelling factor. The film, a production of Uhura Films and Deaplaneta, will have the participation of Fernando Torres in the most important sequences.
