The ‘Ciudad Deportiva’ of Majadahonda served as scenario for the meeting between Fernando Torres and the falcon that takes his name. The reason is cause Jorge Castaño –falconer of Atletico of Madrid - baptized their last acquisition with the red-and-white captain's first last name and he took the falcon to the facilities of ‘Cerro del Espino’ where both posed for a photo.

The main mission of the rapacious bird will be to watch over Vicente Calderón's grass to avoid the pigeons to destroy the seeds sowed in the field. That way commented Castaño when he acquired 'Torres', in August of 2006, he selected the name based on that "Fernando is the symbol of the team; he is demonstrating that he goes with Atletico to death and, above everything, he is an Atletico’s fan. For that reason he deserves it”.
