Within the good general tone shown by all the players, Fernando Torres stood out on the two goals and on his play. The Madrilenian forward starts being on shape and thanks to that the goals are coming. After the match played at Balaidos, the ‘kid’ stood out that: “we have talked that the mentality should be the same than the one before Christmas break”. The truth is that we are demonstrating that the aspect hasn’t changed at all”.

Particularly, Fernando stood out that “goals keep coming. After playing the World Cup the aim was to be on shape again; I am going from less to more and we will see if this good run stays until the end of the season instead of only for a couple months. As the team is above on the table people values more the collective than the individual one. At the end, when the team game is O.K. the goals come easily and the forwards work well”.

Torres stood out that “we keep winning far away and the team continues offering a good performance as visitor. In this opportunity we scored goals and that is what we are going to try to do at Pamplona at the Cup, cause it is our most important match”, to finish “we ended the first round with the aim fulfilled and who knows if we could do better at the second round”.
