Fernando Torres with the charity campaign 'A Toy, A Dream'

07-11-2005
Fernando Torres with the charity campaign 'A Toy, A Dream'Fernando Torres will join again this year the solidarity campaign 'A Toy, A Dream', organized by Radio Nacional de España and the Foundation To grow Playing, and it will be one of the faces that will lead the series of spots that TVE will offer to release the initiative of solidarity starting the second half of November. From the beginning of the campaign, the Atletico player has given his image and has been involved in the campaign that has the goal of sending toys to disadvantaged zones of Africa and Latin America. This year he will come back to ask for everybody’s collaboration "to make the biggest possible number of children happy".

In the spot, Fernando Torres emphasizes the importance that has for children to be able to play and grow with a toy, since "a toy is a dream". That’s why he is involved personally in this solidarity project and has taken part in different messages of television and radio that will be broadcasted the next days.

Not only the forward collaborates with the charitable campaign, also outstanding comunicators of TVE and RNE take part in the spots, and like Torres they will request the support of the spectator to send new toys to thousands of children. Ines Ballester, Jorge Fernandez, Olga Viza, Julio Cesar Iglesias and the humorists Cruz & Raya, Jose Sanchez and Juan Muñoz, will be the ones whom starting November 14 and finishing January 5 will come closer to the audience to underline that toys are "education", "happiness for the children" and "a chance to share".

All of them will encourage the audience to buy the 'Solidarity top' (see the photo) of the campaign, and their messages will serve to end the argument of the spots: the story of Irene, a girl from El Salvador who received a few weeks ago a toy of the campaign, days after the hurricane Stand destroyed the country.

This initiative es added to other charitable collaborations that the player supports with organizations as UNICEF, the Foundation Oliver Mayor against the cystic fibrosis, the Foundation Talita in favor of the social integration or the Foundation Multiple sclerosis.
