Liverpool will be looking to end Manchester City’s unbeaten home record, and to move back up to fourth place in the process, when they lock horns with the Sky Blues on Sunday, kick-off at 15:00 hours (GMT). The Merseysiders arrive for the Premier League fixture on the back of victory at home to Unirea Urziceni on Thursday in the first-leg of the Europa League. A goal from David Ngog nine minutes from time clinched a valuable win ahead of the visit to Romania next week. - Premier League Table -

Liverpool’s opponents on Sunday are enjoying their best season since the Premier League kicked-off. Manchester City are one point above Liverpool – with a game in hand- after drawing with Stoke City in midweek. The point at the Britannia Stadium was enough for the Sky Blues to take fourth spot off the Reds.

Rafa Benitez’s side are unbeaten against Man City in the last nine meetings, with four wins and five draws. The corresponding fixture at Anfield ended 2-2 with all four goals coming in an action-packed second-half.

Martin Skrtel opened the scoring for the home side before the visitors hit back with goals from Adebayor and Steven Ireland. Benayoun hit an equaliser for the Reds as the spoils were shared.

Liverpool will face a tough test at Eastlands as the side now coached by Roberto Mancini side have been outstanding at home this campaign. The Sky Blues are unbeaten at Eastlands this season, where they have won their last six matches.

The Anfield club did however run-out 3-2 winners in the last meeting away to Man City back October, 2008. Steve Ireland and Garrido shot the blue-half of the city into a 2-0 goal lead, but a brace from Fernando Torres (55min and 73min) drew Liverpool level before Kuyt turned the game around for the Reds with a strike deep into injury-time.
