Atlético de Madrid won an important point in Málaga against a rival who stood up to the challenge. Griezmann opened and closed the scoreboard a double. Torres, on own goal, and Samuel, scored for the hosts.

Atlético de Madrid took the field of La Rosaleda as in the last matches, trying to dominate the match and find some weakness with which to do harm to Málaga. Simeone’s team had the possession and Málaga was uncomfortable until the play that opened the scoring. Throw-in of Gámez from near the corner that does not reach Kameni well and Griezmann pushes it to the net. Málaga was trying to reach Oblak’s goal but only created danger on set pieces. Fernando Torres deflected a corner kick bounced by Recio attempting to clear it and rounded Oblak.

In the second half, Málaga went ahead thanks to Samuel and Griezmann tied with the 2-2 that would be definitive in 78’. There was also time for an occasion by Saul which Kameni saved and with an Atlético de Madrid which tried to win, but it could not be.
