The first Madrilenian derby of the season for Atletico ended in a stalemate. Saúl and Godín had the best chances of the game to break a great defensive display from the Leganés players, but Cuéllar made two great saves. Also Oblak made a superb performance to keep another clean sheet for Red-and-whites. Fernando Torres played the last stage of the game replacing Vietto on 61’.

In his pre match press conference, Diego Pablo Simeone said Leganés was going to be hard to beat. His words proved to be correct and Leganés defended brilliantly.

Saúl and Diego Godín nearly scored for Atleti, but Cuéllar made two great saves. On the other hand, Jan Oblak was brilliant and made three key saves to help Atleti keep the point.
