Atlético beat Las Palmas thanks to two opening goals by Correa and Carrasco and two from Koke and one from Thomas after the break. Fernando Torres played the last 24 minutes after replacing Correa.

Amazing kick-off from Atlético in the Grand Canary stadium. In five minutes, two goals from Correa and Carrasco knocked out Las Palmas. Simeone was asking more from Correa in the pre-match and the Argentinian won back a ball fought by Vietto to be lethal inside the area. And, immediately afterwards, Carrasco received a pass from Saúl and, after getting rid of a defender, crossed in front of the keeper.

After that, Atlético owned the match and Las Palmas tried their best and only forced Oblak to intervene in the 22nd minute in a shot from Viera cleared by the Slovenian.

The second half was similar to the first. Nevertheless, Calleri spiced up the fixture with his goal. But Atlético’s reaction was swift and Koke answered with a great goal and made our lead almost unanswerable. However, just in case, Koke scored another great goal with a bicycle kick inside the area. And, in the final stretch, Oblak saved a penalty kick from Jonathan Viera. Before the end, another wonder goal form Thomas closed the match.
