Atlético de Madrid won their first la Liga fixture in 2017 away at Ipurúa beating Eibar 0-2. Locals fought hard to maintain their good home record but Atlético got the most form their chances on the second half. A goal by Saúl from a corner kick and another by Griezmann in a combination with Gameiro sentenced Eibar. Fernando Torres was back on the starting eleven and played 71 minutes before being replaced by Gameiro. -La Liga Santander Table-

It was a though game at Ipurúa between two teams that played very intensely from the first minute. The pace was frantic and the battle in the midfield was tremendous. Few chances to score in the first 45 minutes. Only Adrián's shot saved by Moyá on 22 minutes and another by Griezmann in the 37th, which flew wide, were the chances to score.

In the second half, the goals arrived. First came Saúl’s after a corner kick, and then it was Griezmann who scored again in the League after a play with Gameiro.
