AC Milan could only manage a 1-1 draw at Cesena on Sunday in Serie A fifth matchday. Adil Rami's first half strike (19') cancelled out the home side's opener by Succi (10') but Rossoneri failed to take the lead, which became much more difficult following Zapata's red card in last stages of the game. -Serie A Table-

Filippo Inzaghi's men controlled the game for large periods from start to end, but were undone early on when Succi get a ball in the box and made the first. Rami rescued his team with a towering header to Honda's corner after 19 minutes on an otherwise frustrating draw for Milan. Fernando Torres was on Inzaghi’s line-up for Cesena and made a good attacking performance until minute 70, when Pazzini replaced the Spaniard heading to last 20 minutes of the game.

In the end, the team’s commitment and desire to win wasn’t quite enough. Nevertheless, there are plenty of interesting points to emerge from the match:

400- With his appearance today against Cesena, Giampaolo Pazzini has now reached the milestone of 400 matches throughout his professional career. That number includes 296 matches in Serie A and 34 in European competitions. Giampaolo has scored 134 goals so far in his career.

1987- The last draw between Cesena-Milan was during the 1987/88 season. The date was the 27th of September 1987 and on that day it ended 0-0.

16 March 2014- the last time Adil Rami found the back of the net in Serie A (versus Parma at the San Siro). Interestingly the goal that day also came from a corner kick, taken by Ricardo Kakà.
