Third six-pointer in a row for AC Milan in battle for European competition places in the Serie A table. SSC Napoli come to the San Siro on Sunday’s in a game that brings together two sides built to score goals and with an attacking philosophy. Sunday’s match will also be the first time that the two sides meet at the San Siro in the month of December in 19 years. Interestingly, it ended goalless on that day- just like in 1986. Milan have won three times against Napoli at the San Siro since the Azzurri returned to Serie A: January 2008, 5-2, November 2008 1-0 and February 28 3-0. Napoli won 3-1 last season. -Serie A table-

Fernando Torres will see well-known faces on opposition’s bench as he will met Rafa Benítez for first time since the Europa League triumph in Amsterdam -2013, May- where he scored first of the two goals needed to win the Europa League title. It was the only title won by Chelsea that season. The Spanish interim coach replaced Roberto Di Matteo and trusted in Torres to hit the target of the European title: with a six-goal tally to his name in nine games the Spaniard was crucial for Blues' sucess. Rafa Benítez also shared a three-season period at Liverpool with Torres.

But Sunday meeting will not be the first time for Torres against Napoli. The Madrid-born striker played against Azurri at Stamford Bridge in March 2012, when both teams faced the second leg of 1/16 to final round. In spite of a 3-1 defeat at San Paolo, Blues got a place in quarter-finals after winning at The Bridge 4-1.

Napoli qualified to the last 32 of the Europa League as winners of their group on Thursday night. The partenopei saw off Slovan Bratislava 3-0 at the San Paolo after goals from Mertens, Hamsik and Zapata.
