Skipper Torres reachs Luis Aragonés games milestone in King’s Cup debut (1-1)

Atletico de Madrid and Elche held a draw in the first leg of the Round of 32 of the Copa del Rey. Red-and-whites sat on the driving site early on the first half as Thomas Partey scored the opener on minute 17. Visitor felt comfortable with advantage, managing the game with a solid team work on midfield. But six minutes after the break Lolo Plá scored the equaliser from the kick-spot and brought back to life the local side.

Fernando Torres was the skipper of Atlético on Martinez Valero Stadium. The striker played the full 90 minutes displaying a good performance up front and hit a new milestone for Red-and-white History. With 368 games with boyhood club, Fernando reached legend Luis Aragonés numbers.
