The curtain fell down on the Vicente Calderón Stadium after a fantastic Red-and-white football party. The Legendary Final took to the pitch the all-time great icons who wore the Atletico shirt and some of the best football top players who played there for others clubs as visitors side Scholas Ocurrentes.

The legendary team -Fernando Torres included on the starting eleven- had an amazing shuffle of players who are live History of the club giving an emotional farewell to the Red-and-white home of the past 50 years.

The supporters fulfilled the stands -as always they did- making possible an awesome atmosphere full of color, passion and a lot of Red-and-white feeling.

Fernando Torres scored twice on last official La Liga game on the Calderón a week ago, but he also scored on the farewell with the opener. The iconic Atlético number nine relived the well-known ‘archer’ celebration scene patented by Atlético striker Francisco Narváez ‘Kiko’.

The fans witnessed a great show with current players of Atlético de Madrid - and others from different stages - and also with the Scholas Occurrentes team. The result was not important, what was were the 9 goals, four by our players (Fernando Torres, Pedro, from a penalty, Alejandro Sánchez and Pedraza) and five from the visiting team (Caniggia, Higuita, from a penalty, Yarmolenko, Cuahtemoc Blanco and Román).

The evening began with an exhibition game between our Academy players and all the Academy teams that were champions in their respective Leagues this year were honoured. Before the match, the DJ Carlos Jean entertained the spectators with his music. Several members of the Parachute Brigade (BRIPAC) jumped from the sky of Madrid to land on the midfield with the flags of Scholas Occurrentes, Atléticos’s, the Spanish flag and the ball with which the match was played. The ‘Patrulla Águila’ soared the sky over the stadium, first leaving the colours of the national flag and then our club’s.

The gate money of this event was destined for the integration of disadvantaged children in Scholas Occurrentes's network. Before the match, both teams took part in the symbolic planting of the 'Olive tree for Peace'.

To round off the day, all the legends posed for a historic photo in the last match played at our Vicente Calderón stadium.
