The points are shared as Atlético and Betis fight-out a goalless draw (0-0)

22-04-2018

A hard-fought La Liga game in the Wanda Metropolitano against Real Betis ended in a nil-nil draw. Under an outstanding atmosphere both teams displayed a god performance creating a lot of chances on both ends of the pitch. Fernando Torres and Saúl Ñíguez had two great chances to score the winning goal. Now attentions turn to next Thursday with the upcoming Europa League first leg of semifinals away against Arsenal.

The first half was intense and neither team was dominating. The first major chance of the match came in the 25th minute. Torres dribbled around Dani Giménez and his chip shot was cleared off the line.

In the second half, Antoine Griezmann, Koke and Šime Vrsaljko came on to add some dynamic to Atletico. In the final stretch of the game, our team put on the pressure. Saúl was so close to scoring, but his shot hit the crossbar.

The next match will be Thursday in the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal at 9:05 p.m. CET.
