Fernando Torres put Atlético de Madrid ahead on 25 minutes but then Brych sent him off in the 35th and in the second half Luis Suárez turned the match with two goals for Barcelona. Atlético de Madrid took the field convinced of what they had to do on the grass of the Camp Nou. A shot from Jordi Alba found Luis Suárez to tie the match and the same Uruguayan scored the 2-1 a quarter of an hour before the end. Barcelona tried, but Atlético was spectacular in the defence.
