Atlético de Madrid and FC Barcelona drew in their first ever meeting in the Wanda Metropolitano, after a hard-fought game with goal chances for both sides. The first stages of the game showed a strong Atlético as locals broke the deadlock with a goal by Saúl on the first half. Suárez scored the equalizer on the last minutes of the game. -La Liga Santander Table-

Fernando Torres came onto the pitch replacing Gabi on 83th making his 300th appearance in La Liga; 260 in top-flight competition Primera division and 40 in Segunda division, all of that wearing the Atlético de Madrid shirt.

In the first half, Antoine Griezmann had two great chances to score, but ter Stegen made incredible saves to keep the game scoreless. However in the 20th minute of the first half, Saúl let rip a great curling shot to score the first goal of the match.

In the final minutes of the match, Luis Suárez scored to tie the game. Our lads never gave up and looked for the winner until the end, but had to settle for the draw.
