Atlético de Madrid won three golden points in Getafe thanks to an early goal from Fernando Torres and managed to finish another game with a clean sheet. Maximum effectiveness for the Red-and-whites as the number ‘9’ scores for the second match in a row. -Liga BBVA Table-

The team took the field of Getafe with very clear ideas. Strong pressure, control of the ball and take advantage of the chances. And so it happened. When some fans were still sitting down, Fernando Torres scored the first goal beating Fran Escribá, putting the icing on the cake to a great run by Carrasco and a brilliant pass of the Belgian to the far post. Torres could have scored the second after a great pass from Gabi but his shot went wide. And Carrasco tested Guaita twice but the scoreboard did not change.

In the second half, things stayed the same, with an Atlético that controlled the match but with fewer chances to score. Only one from Koke which was saved by Guaita. Shortly before that, Carrasco had been injured so Óliver Torres entered and the match got more in our favour since Oblak hardly intervened.
