Fernando Torres and Atletico of Madrid have made official today the commitment to keep being together signing the new contract for the next three seasons. The red and white captain accompanied by Enrique Cerezo, signed at the VIP room of Vicente Calderon Stadium, in an act in which an ample representation of Bahia International appeared with José Antonio Martín – Vicepresident -, Margarita Garay – General Manager - and Antonio Sanz - Communication Manager. The club was represented by Miguel Ángel Gil – Vicepresident -, Clemente Villaverde – General Manager of the Sport Área -, Jesús García Pitarch –Sport Manger- and Emilio Gutiérrez – Communication Manager –The alive history from Atletico of Madrid didn’t miss this great date, represented by players renowned such as José Eulogio Gárate, Miguel San Román or Miguel Gonzalez.

Enrique Cerezo opened the act emphasizing the high level of commitment that Torres keeps with Atletico. “Fernando continues in Atletico of Madrid. From his arrival to the club with 17 years old, he has become our reference, our flag and the idol of the supporters. There isn’t a better negotiation than the one when two people want to reach an agreement: Fernando wanted to continue in the club and we wanted him to continue many years here. He will, as other players like Garate, Collar or Ben Barek, make history in this house.

Moments before both parts would’ve sealed the agreement publicly; the act was completed with a press conference and with the screening of two videos with a great feeling load. The first one showed the greatness of the history of an institution that has in their fans his best value in a route over stellar moments at the field remembering many of the extraordinary players who have worn the red and white shirt.... the last one, Fernando Torres. The second one looked through the path of the forward in the club, from his first steps – in 1996 – to the best goals that he has made in the maximum category.
