First defeat for Atlético Madrid in the League championship. FC Barcelona won 2-1 at the Vicente Calderón. Fernando Torres scored the opening goal, while Neymar and Messi scored the ones for the Catalan team. The match began with FC Barcelona controlling the ball. Our team tried to counterattack, but the defence of Barcelona’s team was confident.

The team of Luis Enrique had two very clear chances. In the first one, Oblak sent to the corner a shot from Rakitic. In the second one, Suárez crashed the ball into the crossbar. Torres had our team’s clearest chance in the first half, but his shot touched the crossbar and went out.

The second half began with our team pressuring the exit of Barcelona’s ball. On minute 52, Torres beat Ter Stegen with a low shot, taking advantage of a great pass from Tiago. Just three minutes later, Neymar tied the match with a direct free kick. Leo Messi turned the scoreboard around with an assist from Suárez on 77 minutes. Simeone’s team tried until the last minute, but the end result did not change.
