The last game before the international break ended in a 2-1 loss in the Estadio de la Cerámica. Atlético de Madrid were defeated away against Villarreal in the last stage of the game, as the locals came from behind with two goals scored in the final 10 minutes. Griezmann took the lead early from the penalty spot, but a brace from Turkish ace Ünal retained the three points at home. Our lads gave it their all, but couldn't get the win in Villarreal. Antoine Griezmann scored the first goal of the night in the first half. Koke almost scored as well, but his shot hit the post.

In the second half, Villarreal scored two late goals to turn the match around.
