What do you think about the match against Valencia?

“After great games and great results euphoria makes things look easier, but this game may be a tricky one. Valencia is a team that is recovering and with a new manager and the players are in shape. We need the points of the home games, for sure, but also to win away to be in Europe. In the Calderón Stadium we can’t afford to lose points”.

Is this game more difficult than the one against Sevilla?

“It’s much more difficult. Every game will be more difficult than the previous one, because there are less games left to fulfill the achievements and to be in European competition. This one will be more difficult than the match against Sevilla, and next one will be more difficult than the one against Valencia”.

Ayala y Marchena are easier to play against than Javi Navarro y Alfaro?

“Both are international players and that means something. Marchena is one of the best centre backs in Spain and Ayala is the captain of the Argentina National Team. The level is much higher, more difficult. You can check Valencia’s statistics: these last years they have always been one of the teams that less goals”.

Is Aimar the most dangerous player of Valencia?

“It’s not Aimar. The most dangerous thing of Valencia is the team. Without Aimar Valencia won championships, they won the UEFA Cup with Aimar being injured many games. But one that won’t play is Vicente and in my opinion he is one that can break defences. Aimar is a very dangerous player, but without a doubt the most important thing about Valencia is how they work as a team. Last season they beat us 0-3 and it hurts, so we hope to beat them this time”

Do you think you will keep on scoring?

“I hope so . Little by little, and without targets I will try to beat my scoring record from last year, but I don’t want to set a number of goals as a target ”.
