Voting opened on Monday for the uefa.com users' Team of 2008, with Fernando Torres in the running for a place in the starting line-up alongside 10 other players and 1 manager. The ‘UEFA Team of the Year’ has been an annual UEFA feature since 2001 with over 15 million votes having been cast in the previous polls.

Fans have until 12 January 2009 to select their star player from a list of 60 nominees and coaches who have shone in the past 12 months. The final team of eleven players and a coach will be revealed seven days later, on January 19. - you can vote now -.
