It’s already something real. Wanda Metropolitano Stadium has been inaugurated tonight with a Primera division victory, as locals Atlético de Madrid beat Málaga by 1-0 with a single goal by Griezmann (61’). Fernando Torres took part on the celebrations as he was encharged –alongside legend Gárate and Hugo, a guy from Red-and-white Academy- of taking the honorary kick-off to the game seconds before the opening whistle. After he also had a hand on the game replacing Correa for the last 24 minutes of the contest.

The inauguration events of the Wanda Metropolitano took place. The events began with an exhibition of the Eagle Squad in the sky of Madrid. Later, the club honoured all the stadiums ((Retiro, O`Donnell, Metropolitano, Vicente Calderón and our new one, the Wanda Metropolitano). Later, parachutists descended from the sky to land on the pitch with the ball of the game, the Spanish flag and the club’s flag.

Atlético de Madrid controlled the game from the first minute of the match). Correa, with a shot from the edge of the box, had the best red and white chance in the first 45 minutes. In the second half, our team continued taking the initiative and kept looking for the first goal. It would come on 61 minutes. Correa, after a great individual play, beat his defender and sent a great cross to Griezmann who finished and scored.
