The third Primera RFEF fixture of the season ended with a narrow defeat against Antequera at Cerro del Espino - Majadahonda. The Atlético de Madrid reserve team conceded half an hour from kick-off -Sidikki (32')- and their hard efforts to equalise the match were unrewarded.

“We believe in our lads, we have worked with them for the last three years and we know what they can do. I am sure that they will reach their best level. We understand that their youth is a handicap in the first few days,” said Fernando Torres in the press room after the game.

"Creemos en los chicos, les hemos tenido estos tres últimos años y sabemos de lo que son capaces. Estoy seguro de que van a alcanzar su mejor nivel. Entendemos que su juventud es un hándicap en las primeras jornadas".

The coach described this third match of the season as “a Primera RFEF league game, which has punished our mistakes. But this is the football we want to play and we are going to keep on trying. We are going to continue being brave and leading against our opponents. We have to start being more the type of footballer for this category.”
