Atlético de Madrid B suffered their first defeat in 2025 and the second away defeat of the entire season. Two goals in the first half put the game uphill for the team coached by Fernando Torres, who tried hard to turn the score around in the second half. In the final stretch, Omar Janneh (80') reduced the gap, but in the extra time and with one man down after Dani Martínez's double booking, Red-and-whites failed to complete the comeback. Next up, against Alcorcón in Majadahonda.

The coach shared his views about of the game: “Another opportunity that is gone to be able to close the gap to where we want to be. It was a game determined by the goals, especially the second before the break which forced us to face the second half where I think we were better. We had good moments, but also opponents created several counterattacks as we were focused on fighting for a draw that did not come.”

“I'm happy with the guys' effort, especially in the second half. There are some things to improve, such as going into the games with speed and intensity as we have always done, which we will surely recover,” he added.

After the defeat, Torres sets his sights on the next match against Alcorcón. “Whether the result is positive or negative, the important thing is to think about what comes next, how to improve, to keep the positive things to enhance them. And to put our minds on what comes next. We hope to have a good week, recover players and find the best way to face the next match on our pitch.”
